Grady’s first birthday!

So my nephew Grady officially turned 1 today.

Last night we had a rockin’ party for him and I thought I’d share some of the fun -

Grandma was there:

So was Grandpa:

First he had to eat:

followed by flying through the air (courtesy of dad)

Time for cake.  Clearly he had no idea why everyone was standing around -img_4186

I’m pretty sure it may have been his first experience with fire as well - img_4177

Aaron tried to show him how to blow out the candle -

then Jen & Aaron had to step in and help -

“where’d the fire go?”

Aaron was helping him hold up his cake (which was in the shape of a bear) – I love the look in his eyes!
“Dad are you crammin’ this thing down my throat?

time for presents -

despite the cool toys, kids always seem more interested in the packaging -

and let’s not forget the bubbles!

This is the green lid that had the bubbles in it -
after he poured it out and stuck his mouth on it -

Aaron is hilarious with the faces he makes at him – Grady seems to love it -

Grady @ Christmas…

Ok, so as promised -

here’s a few more shots of my nephew at Christmas – just because – who doesn’t like a cute kid?

Anyone seen the Incredibles? He kind of looks like Jack-Jack in this one:

Remember when people would clap for you, just for taking a bite? Grandma is a big fan:

a day with Grady Max

[I] went and had my portrait taken from my friend Jenae this weekend – which was hilarious – as a photographer and videographer, I’m always behind the camera, so being in front of it, seeing my goofy reflection in the lens, I suddenly “felt” a little more for the people that I’ve worked with in the past – one of those pics may show up in an “about” section of my website or this blog at some point in the near future – Jenae says she’s sending them to eHarmony.

My older sister Jenny and my nephew Grady were going to come along with me, but given nap schedules and getting a 7 month old to take pics and be happy about it, I decided to do some during lunch and in their yard -
